About Siya si Ash
"They are Ash"
Instead of gendered pronouns the Tagalog language uses 'siya' for both he & she (& also they, like me!).

I wanted a blog title that represented me; my culture & heritage being part-Filipino, my identity as a Non-Binary individual, and my chosen name Ash.
Likely you've heard the term deadname, generally referring to a transgender individual's birth name. For many, the "old" self is considered dead. A new name to begin a new chapter in life, for some the first time ever feeling alive.
This blog is in part, a celebration of life.
For the first time in a long while I feel alive, I feel hope for the future, and I feel like I want to live. This blog is a place to share myself & my life with friends, and maybe others who might relate as well.
